This poster interrogates the entrenched colonial logics embedded in contemporary coaching and helping professions by drawing from African immigrants’ lived experiences and defiant strategies.
Framed through a decolonial lens, the study critiques the persistence of non-relational, hierarchical, and extractive practices in professional settings and explores how African communities enact resistance and resilience through culturally grounded, relational, and ancestral modes of knowing and being.
