CRITICAL COACHING FACTORS THAT DRIVE PRODUCTIVITY IN CREATIVE PROFESSIONALS

The creative industry in Nigeria plays a vital role in economic growth and innovation, yet it faces persistent challenges in employee productivity and performance. This study examines the key coaching factors that significantly impact the productivity of creative professionals, drawing insights from empirical research conducted in Lagos State, Nigeria.Â
Using a quasi-experimental research design, the study surveyed employees in the creative sector, comparing the productivity of those who received structured life coaching interventions with those who did not. Findings highlight that coachee efficacy, coaching conditions, and the coach-coachee relationship are critical in influencing employee productivity. Additionally, the study identifies educational background as a significant external factor affecting productivity. This poster presents data-driven insights on the effectiveness of coaching in enhancing creative workers’ output, offering practical recommendations for business leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals. The research underscores the need for structured coaching frameworks tailored to the unique demands of the creative industry, and the development of its workforce.Â
By addressing the gap between academic research and industry practice, this study provides a roadmap for leveraging coaching as a strategic tool for improving creativity, productivity, and overall employee satisfaction in the creative sector.
