'Serious knowledge kicked from the UK, the US, and South Africa'

. . . ‘Gotta give a shout out to Morton Patterson for the connection and ‘breaking bread’ on the move towards lunch.

There is much for the coaching world to gain from the insights we bring as ‘black coaches’, about who we are, how we practice, and the difference we can make to our clients and the world at large.

Have to say that the standout for me was the contribution from Pamela Larde, Ph.D. on ‘The Power of Being Seen and Heard’. Central to Pam’s message was the centrality of joy to our existence, and how we can infuse joy to our practice as coaches and to connect clients to joy in their lives, regardless of the coaching context (work and/or life).

A great reference point is her ‘Multidimensional Framework of Joy’ (check out her book ‘Joyfully Single’ for the full unravelling).
